As your senses slowed, the flow of time around you seemed to speed up. Even with your universal translation implant, the sounds around you became an unrecognizable collection of whirring and buzzing noises. With no sense of feeling, you could only assume you remained prone on the ground under the alien plant. The fact you were still semi-conscious was a good sign, but with no way to interact with your surroundings, your present condition was essentially like being in an unwakeable coma.

"I became dizzy after smelling the iridescent flowers on the red-leafed plant next to the Feeler. I also felt some pricks when I laid down under it," you managed to explain.

"There is swelling on your knee, shoulder and fingers, any of which might be entry points. However, there are no red-leafed plants with flowers in the lab, nor are there any plants next to the Feeler. Analysis of the toxin shows that it likely affects the nervous system, and it also may have hallucinogenic and hypnotic effects. Whatever you thought you saw may not have been real, but we need to identify what caused this."
