Back at the prison

As the dejected group reached the smoking remains of the prison, there wre gasps of anger and disbelief from the guardswomen. Those who had been on leave at the beach had somehow convinced themselves that the damage would not be too severe, and these illusions had been cruelly shattered. Broken bodies littered the ground like scattered dolls, and acrid smoke rose from destroyed buildings like a shroud of ****.

Calvo paused, his body still aching from the beating he had recieved. He had seen a fair amount of ugly **** in his time, but even he was taken aback by the scenes at the prison, or rather, what was left of it. At the time he had thought the attack had been a simple raid, but clearly the intention had been to destroy the site altogether, to raze the prison from Tau-Ceti Two's surface altogether. This had not been an attempt to free prisoners. The attack carried the stink of Merc-Pirates, out for what they could get.

Two guardswomen, Twelve and Eighteen, were huddled together, the taller blonde comforting the slim, brunette, her arms around her lover, stroking her short, dark hair. The Captain's group had come across them, huddled together and freezing in a small cave, as they made their way back toward the prison. Calvo was obscurely pleased that both had survived, although more guards was hardly good news for his chances of escape.

Food was not going to be a problem, at least, although they were all going to be heartily sick of emergency dried rations long before they reached the nearest settlement. More worrying was the fact that all of the armory's weapons had clearly been looted. Calvo did not relish the prospect of the journey unarmed and bound, and with the guardswomen carryng nothing more powerful than painsticks and stunguns.

He glanced back at Twelve and Eighteen. The tall, nordic girl's hands were stroking up and down Twelve's back , easing downward on to the curves of petite guardswoman's wonderfully pert little backside, seemingly having forgotten Calvo was nearby.....
