Back The Way I Came...
"Well, there's this ruined city back that way," I state gesturing over my shoulder towards the path I followed to get to where I found Jane, "It may not have food, or things like that, but I have some supplies and I hope you do too, so I think it is worth exploring to see if any of the buildings are intact enough to take shelter in..." I finish somewhat less confidently than I would like.
"Sounds like a plan of sorts," Jane says and hefts her pack, "lead on 'No-One of Nowhere'..." she says, laughing in a vaguely unkind way.
"Jane, will you please cut that out? Even if that is what my name means I would appreciate it if you would use the name form which I picked out for myself." I ask her, with more than a touch of irritation.
"Okay, sorry, you're right, that was rude," Jane replies and we walk on in silence until...
