So... Who's the lucky Bachelor?

Bachelorette - Middle Age Animator

This is is the story of Kendra Gray, a middle aged animator. At the start of her 30s, her career has taken up most of her focus. Having a dad as animator kinda helps push one into a creative field. Too bad the field wasn't...., as grand as her father sold it to her. In part it was a dad selling up his job to his child but times had changed. Far more penny pinching and streamlined, far more computers and algorithms and board meetings, and far, far too many shows canned before their time.

Still, Kendra enjoyed her career to stay in it. She was well off enough, compensated from both her contract work and some work online. Along with a few personal comics and a couple lewd editions drawn up; Kendra wasn't rich but she was at least pretty well off with a decent apartment in the better side of town. Her family was pretty proud of her, most of all her father who almost cried when she started to follow in his footsteps.

She wasn't the expected "Look" of an animator though. Far more frumpy and plain, rather quiet and more prone to small speaking rather than the louder bombastic colorful personalities that seemed to be all over the industry. The only time she became more active was talking about shows, drawings or books. But she was very studious in her work, always turning in what was expected along with a little more on time and never really caused issues. More a background animator than star of the show and that suited her just fine.

All her life she'd been mocked for her toon focus. Drawing notebooks ripped apart or confiscated, mocked for still watching cartoons in highschool, jeered by her peers in college. That had shaped her into her more quite personality and background nature that still was with her today. She'd much rather spend a night reading or doing some sketch work with her cats instead of going to an after party with friends. More than anything, Kendra was content.

It was when she started to notice co workers appear with baby photos on their desk or hear of weddings on discord channels that she started to realize, life was passing her. Her dad was still proud of her, but her mother wanted her to settle down with someone, anyone at this rate. Heck her baby sister had gotten married before Kendra. She even signed Kendra up for a coupe web dating/match maker sites as a way to 'help out'.

So the Caucasian Brunette lay in bed, one of her cats sitting on her legs as she flipped through the match makers. Junk, scam, trash, .... one night hook up? She couldn't believe what her sister had done and was about to close her laptop when a message had popped up. The email transformed her screen into a pink and redish screen with animated cupids floating around. It was from a dating website called “Cupid’s wishes,” claiming to have the very best way to match you with your most animated partner. Kendra sat and thought for a moment, wondering if it meant animated as in "Lively" or that it was some "Find your cartoon match" thing like she'd be 'Jessica Rabbit' to someone's Roger. In her case probably closer to Velma.

Still...., the animation was pretty good and her sister WAS a computer expert. She might sign up for cheesy sites but she wouldn't make Kendra get a virus on purpose right?

So, she clicked on the web link from the email and created an account. Kendra finally finished her entries of info, and pulled up the 'matches' and saw... a surpring number of them. The woman blushed at the thought of so many matches when she noted something. All of them were women. She..., hadn't really considered it before. She had a few flings in college but never really settled on any of them, either gender. She supposed at the time she just was Bi or really didn't have a care for sex in general. Perhaps this was some joke, or misentered info? Before she could flick back to her settings, her computer screen went black.

A few attempts and a couple restart tries later and it seemed like her laptop was dead. Annoyed at her self, and her sister, Kendra just moved the laptop over to nearby desk. It had several work files and maybe a dozen art pieces still on it, so if it was gone maybe the computer repair shop two blocks down could recover the data.

"And Kattie is gonna foot that bill..." Kendra muttered as she flicked the light off and slowly went to sleep.

She completely missed the computer turning back later, lost in her dreams. The machine seemed to reformat itself, and started running a massive scan on her computer, displaying several of her art pieces on the screen as it did so before it froze up again, only this time displaying a single red heart with the words 'Match Found' above it and in progress bar filling below it…

**Author Note**
Unsure about the name, might change before we get too far. Thoughts on the name thus far?

What's the Match it found?
