Chapter 2 by GoldMouse GoldMouse

The Story Starts

BO!!!!!

As soon as she hears that piercing sound a high-pitched yelp that was cut short as she tripped over her own feet. She landed hard on her plush, massive ass. Her backpack, containing her precious equipment, clattered beside her. For a moment, she just lay there, her blue eyes wide with a mixture of terror and adrenaline, staring up at the source of the sudden sound.

Hovering a few feet above the floor was a figure, unmistakably a ghost. Feminine, humanoid in shape, but it was surrounded by a faint, ghostly blue aura that seemed to pulse gently. Long, flowing white hair cascaded around her face that was, surprisingly, not monstrous at all. It was almost... serene.

Sara's sense kicked in, warring with her primal fear. She fumbled for her EMF meter, her fingers clumsy. The device was going haywire, its needle swinging wildly into the red. "Wh-who are you?" Sara stammered, trying to push herself up, her curvy frame feeling uncharacteristically clumsy.

The ghost drifted closer, her blue light casting an ethereal glow on Sara's face.

"WELL DUH! I'm the ghost of this place! who else did you expect? A vampire?" She looks at me. "Oh! name's Mary by the way" she said, her voice not the eerie whisper Sara had prepared for, but a clear, melodic tone that held an amused lilt. Mary's eyes, deep and dark in her spectral face, did a slow, deliberate sweep of Sara's body, taking in the toned abs visible beneath her cropped shirt, the wide swell of her hips, and the impressive curve of her ass still pressed against the dusty floorboards. The ghost's smile widened.

"Hmmm you're something else.." Mary noted, her form flickering as she circled Sara. "The last one was a balding man with an iphone camera. He ran away screaming before I could even say hello. You..." Mary leaned in closer, her translucent face inches from Sara's, her aura sending a chill that was not entirely unpleasant through the air. "You fell. That was adorable."

Sara's face flushed. Adorable? She pushed herself up to a sitting position, brushing dust off her jeans, her movements still a bit shaky.

"W-why are you haunting this place?" She looks at the ghost. "Haunting? I'm not haunting anything, i live here! It's you people who come here for some bloody reasons!" Mary huffed, crossing her translucent arms, which made her long white hair shift around her shoulders.

Mary looks at Sara's body once again. "Say Hun, you're look stu... i mean.. you're a ghost hunter right? I can tell by that weird device, you help ghosts get to afterlife, by helping them with their unfinished business yea?" She points a finger at the EMF meter, still screeching in Sara's hand. "So what do you say? Want to help a girl out and help me pass on?" Mary offered, her voice dripping with a sweetness that felt suspiciously like honey-laced poison. The question hung in the dead air between them, a strange sort of job interview conducted by a specter in a derelict house.

Do you help this sus ghost?
