Awakening and more escape.

You are awakened by a tingling but pleasant sensation in your chest. As you slowly open your eyes, you discover Katie caressing your chest with her lips. Your brunette girlfriend is also awake, tenderly stroking the blonde's hair as she looks down at you. Noticing your wide eyes, she gives you a beautiful smile.

"Good morning, John."

In response to the greeting, Katie moves her eyes to you, but doesn't stop her kisses. Her gaze is full of affection. However, you are saddened to see some guilt there still. Knowing Rachel won't mind, you gently take Katie's chin, bringing her mouth to yours to kiss it softly, caressing her cheek gently. As you had assumed, all Rachel does in response is move closer to look at the two of you adoringly.

"Not that I'm complaining, but what was that?" the blonde asks, smiling as you and Rachel share a good morning kiss.

"That," you reply after breaking your kiss with your brunette girlfriend, "was proof that I love you. I'll do it as many times as it takes, too." You finish in a faux-threatening tone, making your girls laugh.

Unfortunately, the romantic fun is broken by Katie stiffening in your arms. You and Rachel look at her with concern, noticing her unfocused gaze, as if she is looking at something far away. With a sudden start, Katie jumps out of bed and begins to quickly search for her clothes.

"We have to go! Now!" She exclaims, half in a panic.

Assuming she have seen or felt something thanks to her magic, neither of you argue with her. Instead, you and your girlfriend begin to get dressed just as quickly. You would have loved to shower first, but you figure there is no time. A sudden wind engulfs you, and suddenly all three of you are perfectly dressed and groomed, as if you had just showered.

"Wow!" exclaims your brunette girlfriend, delighted. "That trick comes in handy!"

Katie throws her a slight smile, but it barely lasts. Waving her hands, she quickly packs up all your things and walks over to the door. That was another useful magic Katie showed you last night. She managed to create a small portal to your house and got some luggage. Not too much really, but enough for a few days. After all, the three of you fled so fast that no one picked up anything except Katie herself.

It is Katie who is in charge of finalizing your stay here. After all, she needs to remove any trace of your presence with her magic. She told you and Rachel what she will do. Instead of using any particular enchantment, she will leave a bit of her magic attached to the receptionist, which will spread wherever necessary to remove any trace of your presence before dissipating. Even if your pursuers arrive here, they will have no real way of finding out where you went. The humans here will also be safe, as with no way to actually prove that Katie was here, your pursuers will not be able to intervene unless they desire open warfare with humanity. No, they will act as quietly as they can.

Before long, you're riding through the streets again on Katie's motorcycle. This time it is you who sits at the end, with Rachel in front of you. Although pleasant, you barely enjoy this ride. Yesterday everything was so sudden and your emotions were so raw that you managed to enjoy the ride despite the circumstances. Today is different. Katie's fear has rubbed off on you and Rachel. Your ever vivacious and playful brunette girlfriend bites her lip constantly, her body stiff and trembling. Katie is no better, clinging to the handlebars with nearly white knuckles and sharp eyes fixed on the road ahead.

Despite the difficulty, you lean forward and stretch your arms out, wrapping them around both girls as best you can and giving them both a gentle squeeze. Neither of them relax completely, but they do a little. One of Rachel's hands squeezes your arm in response, and Katie momentarily releases one of her hands to caress yours. It's not much, but it's enough. You've given your support and they've understood. There's not much more any of you three can do at this point. You need to get away as quickly as possible.

You don't even stop to eat. Katie promises you that there will be plenty of food at your destination, and when Rachel asks about it, Katie explains that you're headed to the family cabin. In response, Rachel smiles wistfully, giving you a firm nod. You don't ask. you trust these girls with your life, even if you still don't fully understand how or why. If they say there will be food when you reach your destination, there's nothing more to ask. Now you're the one driving, with Katie behind you. You were surprised by her request to drive her bike, but you didn't refuse. Despite your hunger, you're less tired than Katie, and Rachel can't drive at all, so there's not much you can do. You don't really mind either, especially since every so often, your blonde girlfriend's hands gently caress your body in gratitude and affection.

Even though you don't know where to go, you take every turn and every exit correctly. Katie informs you that she has connected her mind to yours ever so slightly to guide you. "It's easier than giving you directions out loud," she says, and you agree. The situation is too serious and you are all very nervous, so this makes things easier. Finally, in the middle of the afternoon you reach your destination. It is a beautiful cabin surrounded by a lush forest. The whole area is fenced off, so it is obviously private land. From what the girls have told you, it belongs to Katie's family.

The place is beautiful. The whole forest looks like a pristine place even though it belongs to humans. The cabin blends in seamlessly with its surrounding natural environment, not standing out at all. Katie informs you that the little electricity available is provided by a small hydraulic generator hidden underground. Also there are the few machines intended to provide running water and purify wastewater. Everything depends on a large subway spring.

"There is no signal of any kind, though. No phones, no internet, nothing. The cabin is protected from environmental magic, so the little electrical technology is unaffected, but it would be impossible to place any phone or internet towers here without it frying." The blonde explains to you.

"Magic?" Rachel asks in amazement. "You're telling me there was magic here all along?"

Katie nods. "I didn't know that until recently. This forest is magical. Literally,everything here contains magic. Recently I even found little shrines and ritual circles while exploring the forest, and I didn't even go that deep." The girl nervously bites her lip and continues. "For some reason, my own magic resonates with this place. I never noticed it when you and I were coming here, Rach, but now that my magic is more active I can feel it."

Rachel simply shakes her head and shrugs. She knows Katie isn't lying, so she doesn't care. Still, you both take the blonde in your arms and kiss her, feeling her body relax, her own arms moving to return your embrace.

Katie stores the bike in a small adjacent barn while you and Rachel go into the cabin to drop off the luggage. Although it's not too big, there's enough room for three people, a large bed and a few pieces of furniture. There are no doors, but two small rooms separate from the main room, one dedicated to a small kitchen and the other to the bathroom. There are hardly any modern appliances. Some gas stoves, a wood oven, a small sink that does not even seem to have hot water... In short, a cabin in the woods.

Katie smiles as she walk in to find you and Rachel hugging and kissing. No words are needed. You break the embrace for a moment and extend your hand in a silent invitation that the blonde accepts without hesitation. You roll gently on the bed, still clothed but without shoes, sharing kisses and soft caresses. The lust is there, but the need for love and comfort is greater. Especially when your blonde beloved, overwhelmed by emotions, begins to cry softly. You and Rachel gently comfort her, whispering soft "we love you's" in her ears from time to time. A surprising thing is how much you all love each other's love. You had noticed it yesterday, but today it is more evident. Rachel doesn't hesitate to gently guide you to kiss Katie, something the beautiful blonde reciprocates. There is no trace of the jealousy and fear present during your first meeting. Possibly Katie's magic is influencing, but it is also due to your own feelings. Now, neither of you fears that the others are a threat.

As smoothly as it began, it all ends. The desire is there, but there will be time for that. For now, the three of you want to enjoy each other's company as you take a short walk in the woods. By unspoken agreement, both girls take one of your arms and flank you, kissing your cheeks sweetly as you walk out the door...
