Avery confronts Margaret

Avery knocked on the door of Cynthia’s home, waiting for someone to answer. She waited and then knocked again, harder. Finally, Margaret answered the door. “Can I help you? What do you want?” She asked.

“I want to know how you can treat a little girl like that,” Avery growled.

“What are you talking about?” Margaret asked.

“How can you raise a girl like that, humiliating her,” Avery glared, getting in Margaret’s face. “I know everything. I know what you did. I know what you did to Cynthia.”

Margaret rolled her eyes. “What did that brat do this time?”

“Nothing,” Avery said. “She did absolutely nothing and yet you encourage her humiliation.”

“I do nothing of the sort,” Margaret said.

“Then what is this?” Avery said holding up her phone which had photos and videos of Cynthia’s humiliation on social media.

“She deserved it,” Margaret said. “You don’t get to tell me how to parent my daughter.”

“Is that what she is to you?” Avery said. “Because you certainly don’t treat her like one. I dare say that’s probably the only time you’ve referred to her that way.”

“You don’t know me,” Margaret said.

Avery held up the punishment book. “Then what is this?!”

Margaret smiled. “That is the key to ensuring obedience. And I’m starting to think there’s someone here who deserves to go through it.”

Margaret grabbed Avery by the arms and pulled her inside. She dragged Avery to the ground, pinning her arms to the floor. Avery fought back, kicking her legs out. “Did you ever love her!” Avery yelled as she pinned Margaret to the ground. “Do you have any idea how much you’ve embarrassed her!”

Margaret threw Avery off of her. The two fought each other, yelling back and forth.
