Ava's team enters the city.

Ava was a master of stealth, but even the team walking the last three miles with their gear on their backs to avoid making too much noise was a bit much. You'd think GDF could splurge a bit on an old Toyota Prius to drive silent under five miles an hour. Ava's team was dropped off by helicopter then driven by pick-up truck to avoid any of the infected hearing the them, then crowding Entry D. Ava began screwing on her standard GDF silencers on both handguns and the standard-issued submachine gun. While most silencers only reduce a gun's noise to help with hearing damage, GDF's makes any weapon as silent as a click with no muzzle fire.

Ava looked behind her, scanning her team to make sure they were doing the same. She has worked with the other three team members at least twice before, so she knew generally what they were capable. Piranha was a beautiful Japanese woman with short black hair and dark brown eyes. Although petite, her code name did her justice as she could take down a gang by herself. Typhoon was a large African man whose muscles seemed to be always a second away from exploding. The rumor was he once won an university rugby team game...by himself. And lastly was Ghost. She was a quiet young woman from France whose pale skin almost matched her white dyed hair. Her looks didn't give her the codename, but her ability to walk through a a crowded room unnoticed definitely spooked out most agents at GDF.

An armed guard was there waiting for Ava and her team. Ava flashed her GDF credentials and with a quick nod, the guard opened the steel windowless gate. They quickly shifted and as the gate slowly closed behind them. Ava and her team took a second to take in and view the dead city. Once thriving with technology and life, now filled with rubble and god knows what else.

“Alright, let’s head to the first checkpoint,” quietly commanded Ava. The GDF team walked about 100 yards and reached an intersection.
