Autumn and Valarie

Autumn lost the next hand and discarded her shoes and socks. It was then Val’s turn to deal.

“Aren’t you supposed to deal from the bottom of the deck to make sure you don’t lose?” Leo joked as Val revealed she had only 10 high and lost. She didn’t respond and instead just passed off her shoes.

Up until now I was liking my odds. I’d had good hands and the first three losers had been girls. Then I got absolutely nothing on the hand I dealt myself. As the group went around and traded cards no one asked for more than 2. I felt royally screwed. But luckily I had an Ace.

“I’m gonna take four.” I showed the group the ace and discarded the rest of my hand and drew hoping that I could stay lucky.
