Authors Notes (Potential Spoilers!!!)

Hi! I’m bigbugbear, but you can just refer to me as Bear. I’ve been a fan of the original bimbug CHYOA by Testytesterton for a while now and always wanted to try doing something like it myself. I wasn’t writing back when it was originally being made so unfortunately I thought that I had missed my chance to take part in the making of the story.

That was until I saw it was republished with the authors permission by fnuriia90. Big shout out to them! Not only did I see that but I saw it was completely open to the public! I was so excited that I could finally contribute to this story AND do it in a way of story telling that interests me more. Not that I couldn’t do that before but I feel like people are more open to stuff like that when CHYOA’s are public.

I mention all of this because I want to point out to you (the reader) that the layout and even the lore of this story might be a little different than the other bimbug stories in this CHYOA. What I wanted to do with this story is establish a more lore heavy, slow burn story, with more characters other than the main character being infected and having the outbreak spread more rapidly than before. To the point where infection is even in encouraged by a large part of the general public and even some people in positions of power.

This is why I included that fact that women could also be infected with the bimbug virus, with different effects, essentially to create a society that thrives on mass infection and accommodates those who are infected more than those who are not.

I’m going to leave my description of what I want to do here. However, I might update this as I write if I feel something needs to be elaborated on or if I get any questions that people want answers to.
