Author's Thoughts

Well, that's it done. It feels kind of weird to actually finish a story on here. Usually, you just keep going until you're distracted by something else or burn out. Finished stories are actually pretty rare in my experience. It's even weirder because this story changed a lot from when I started writing it to when I finished it.

At first, it was just a low plot excuse to have sex scenes. Some fun character interactions, and generally mess around and have fun. It then evolved into an actual story, and I am thankful for everyone who had stuck with it through that time. I know that fight scenes and conflict are not why a lot of you are here and by featuring them so heavily, I am sure I annoyed at least a few people. Nevertheless, I feel like they made for a better story. Our characters were challenged and forced to confront themselves, they were changed by their experiences and became different people over the course of the story.

I hope you enjoyed the process, I truly do. I quite enjoyed writing it, and I am genuinely thankful that so many of you chose to continue reading even as the original story plan altered so drastically.

This route of the story is now finished, and I consider it to be the main route. However, I may do some extra scenes. Especially sex scenes, since I feel those were distinctly lacking for the last part of the story. I am also considering altering the story rules to allow anyone to add routes if they like. Currently, you can submit your own chapters but each one has to be approved by me. This was to keep quality decent, but now that the main route is done, I feel like I might be able to loosen up a bit. What do you think? Give me a shout in the comments if you'd be interested in doing some of your own chapters or routes.

As for what is next. Well, at some point I think I might want to do a sequel starring Dusklord and Lilly's daughter. Trying to find her way in the world as a new adult in a world of heroes and villains. I feel like that might be fun. As with before, give me a shout if you agree or would rather focus on Dusklord and Lilly some more.
