Who is going to the Mansion
August, The Tiger (lz)
August pushed open the double doors and stepped in.
She was in a study of sorts. Huge bookshelves lined the walls, filled with unmarked, leather-bound tomes. Between every few bookshelves was a pillar, and in front of each pillar, there stood proudly and motionless, realistic beasts of the jungle.
August slowly passed a giraffe before pausing to inspect a deer.
The animal looked so real. She reached out a hand and touched the fur. She could have sworn the beast was once alive.
For a manor that had been supposedly abandoned, this area was in surprisingly good shape.
August, still curious, continued her exploration down the aisle.
There was something odd about these animals. She just could not place what.
She continued past some ungulate she could not claim to know, but she stopped short when she approached the tiger.
It was majestic. Standing proud on all fours, the tiger's gaze was set on the distance. Jaw closed, the tiger appeared docile.
