Attack

“Valkyrja, watch us!” You cry out and the whole crew joins you in invoking the Valkyries. You all then get back to your oars and heave at the wood with all your might, letting the longship gain speed quickly and slice the water as it headed for the red sailed ship.

The Norrvalr craft moved towards you as well and you could see the sides of the ship being fitted with large shields.

“They’re readying their forces!” You call out, fitting your own shield to the ship’s side. The others follow your lead and in turn start placing a variety swords, axes, bows and spears next to them for fast access.

“Here they are men!” Harek said as he held the mast. “May Tiwal grant us VICTORY!”

A cheer started among the men but it was cut short by a flying arrow shooting straight for Harek’s head.

“SHIT!” Harek cursed, raising his shield at the last second and stopping the shaft inches from his face.

“The cowards are using their bows!” You say. “Let’s show them that Vejlbjorg warriors have no fear of wound bees!”

A battle cry went up again as you felt your battle rage build up inside you. The Norrvalr warriors are close. Now is the time to act!
