Where does Daniel's manhood begin to unravel?
At work
"Who's Dorothy?" Meg commented from her spot by the schedule. Meg was a pretty girl, a bit taller than Daniel, who was very short for a 'boy,' with long black hair and dramatic eyeliner that he secretly envied.
Daniel's shoulders tensed. "I don't know a Dorothy," he lied. "Where are you seeing that?"
Meg pointed to the schedule. "Right here. She's supposed to work from four to ten tonight."
Daniel swallowed around the lump in his throat. "Huh. Maybe it was a misprint?"
"Or she's new. And late." Meg dropped it, and Daniel resolved to go figure out why his legal name was on the schedule.
