At lunch and in private

At the lunch break Rui asked for an excuse to leave from the teacher and got it. She needed to confront Sonobe about whatever was happening to Asuka. Find him with ease at his classroom, she asked if they could talk in private. Sonobe readily agreed and they walked upstairs towards the room exit.

“What did you wanna talk about, Rui?”

“It’s about Asuka. I think something’s wrong with him.”

“Do you mean his slump at practice? I’m sure he’ll get over it.”

“You would be sure, wouldn’t you. You’re the one who gave him some weird new training regimen.”

“Oh… oh.” Sonobe sighed. “So he told you.”

“He did. Now what did you do?”
