At home at night.

Late one night, Cream was simply sitting at her desk, enjoying a quiet night at her humble home. She was currently reading a short story she had stumbled across while surfing the internet; a talent she picked up on after spending countless hours doing research with one of her very close friends: Tails.

The story itself was a bit peculiar; involving a hapless individual who had been tricked into going outside wearing just their underwear and had to find a way to get back inside before someone saw them.

Cream suddenly found herself amused by this. She couldn't exactly explain why, but she was enjoying this. She really had only started reading this because it looked interesting, but now she couldn't look away from this!

She was only dragged back to reality by a pair of lightly-pitched chirps, followed by a disturbing noise which sounded like a crash! Looking behind her, she saw the wreckage of one of her shelves surrounding her two household companions.

Cream: Cheese! Chocola! Please don't do that! You nearly made me jump!

The two Chao siblings had recently begun getting into a bit of mischief together, often resulting in broken furniture and then, a subtle scolding from their rabbit caretaker. Cream didn't like to get angry with them, but they were starting to get a bit rebellious as of late, as evident by the pouty expressions they had on their faces.

Although, in this case, Cheese and Chocola's shenanigans were a blessing in disguise. Cream caught a glimpse of the time on her clock and noticed how late it was getting. Shutting down her computer, Cream got up, stretched and yawned as she prepared to get ready for bed.
