Although Lisa wanted to be away from this loathsome creature she also didn't want to wander aimlessly around Deadneck trying to find a place to stay, so she asked Usher. Also Lisa had a nagging feeling that she was forgeting something.

"Well now let me think." Usher said before listing the options. "Both saloons rent out cheap rooms, but are kinda noisy and they don't do food. Hotels kinda pricey but they do food and the evening meal is part of the cost. Also for a small fee they have a bath you can use."

Lisa's eyes lit up at the mention of a bath. She had been riding for several days before coming to Deadneck.

Usher stared at Lisa like a starving dog eyes up a piece of meat. He then licked his lips, placed his right hand on Lisa's left. Lisa recoiled as the sweaty hand touched hers. Usher had one other place for Lisa to stay in mind.

"If money is a problem," Usher continued. "you could stay at my place. For certain...favours I could let you stay for no financial cost. You'd have a place to stay, food, even a bath."

Lisa looked at Usher with open disgust. Given his foul stench, Lisa was surprised that he even new what a bath was, let alone owned one. She snatched her hand from under his and wiped off his slimy residue. Then Lisa responded to his offer...
