Tom responds, “Me neither and I just woke up. I suspect the reason is they see us as prey, and the girls here as less than competition. They seem to innately know who is infected and who is not.”

Removing an empty syringe from Jessica’s svelte and lithe thigh, she notices her brother and sister staring at her now. Seemingly her movement had interrupted the question and answer session.

Abruptly Dr Turner sounds nervous

“You told others before this?” he is looking at Britney again now.

Tom ignores the talking and hops down off the table to embrace Jessica and hold her tenderly after what she had just said.

“Even if the worse happened I wouldn’t want you to throw yourself at me as some consolation prize for being infected. If that happened then who would save me?”

“Me save you Tom?” Jessica’s eyes already have a shine to them and her skin is flush with heat from the change. She feels like her body is burning up.
