Ask if she's feeling okay(Only if checked on her in Chapter 2)

Jack walked up to where Beth was sitting and sat next to her. Their legs brushed against each other, she was wearing a short grey skirt and a white top.

"So how's your first day?" He asked.

"As good as a first day can be I guess," she said still staring at her phone. She was scrolling through Vince's Instagram account

"Didn't you say you wanted to get over him as fast as possible ?" he said.

"But look he already deleted all of our pictures," she said with a jealous look in her eye. "We haven't even been broken up for 24 hours and he's already trying to remove every trace of me. The most fucked up part is I didn't even do anything wrong! We just moved!" She hit the lock screen button on her phone and slammed it screen side down on the table. And crossed her arms close to her chest.

"Well did you make any friends?" he asks trying to move along the conversation.

"Friends?" she says, "I'll be at college this time next year, friends aren't exactly my first priority. And forget getting another boyfriend, he won't be able to follow me to college."

"So you haven't met any guys then?" he asked.

"I mean yeah guys always talk to me, but I don't give any of them any attention. You being here is actually kind of good, they won't approach me that way." she said calming down a little.

"I'll be your guy shield whenever you need me to," he said

"Thanks Jack, " she said as she gently rested her head on Jacks shoulder and put her left hand on his right thigh. "I might try out for the dancing team," she said looking at Jack in his eyes, "what do you think?"

"I don't think you'll be able to pull off the bouncy thing, but you'll never know unti--" Jack was interrupted by a playful punch in the shoulder and hug from Beth.

She pressed her head up against his chest,"Thanks for listening Jack," she said, "It helps."

They sat and talked until lunch was over and Jack had to go to 6th period and then finally 7th with Ms. Ambers.
