Ask for a show tonight

You text Matt back, asking whether he's available tonight for a show. You quickly get a reply.

Sure. Bring Jessica along too.

You didn't need much convincing as you quickly texted Jessica to let her know of the evening plans. She eventually agreed.

As Jessica returned home, you both dressed and eventually left for the evening to watch Matt's show. The car ride was pretty long, but you were excited and didn't mind. Jessica didn't seem to mind either.

You arrived at the destination - a large theatre often reserved for large audiences. As you entered the building, you realized just how famous Matt must be. The entire hall was packed. As you began to panic about whether or not there'd still be tickets available, a large, dark man in a suit approached you. He ushered you and Jessica through to a private upstairs room. Matt must have prepared this for you.

A few minutes passed before the lights dimmed and the audience quietened. Matt entered the stage to a polite applause. He began with simple sleight of hand tricks, which you were thoroughly impressed with as you didn't know this was one of his many talents. Eventually he called for a volunteer. Many eager hands shot up in the air, though Matt stepped into the audience and pulled out a young woman.

The performance was simple - he asked her to do simple tasks, which she happily complied, much to the audience's delight. Though impressed, you didn't find it too spectacular. Jessica seemed to enjoy herself though.

The show eventually wrapped up as the audience began to clear out. You and Jessica stood to leave, but were asked by the same dark man from before whether or not you'd like to speak with Matt. You both agreed.

You were led a short distance to a door, which the man held open for you.

You met Matt inside, sitting down on a lounge armchair while on his phone. He gazed up at you with a lazy grin. He then offered a wink to Jessica.

"Enjoy the show?" He asked you, confidently.

"Sure did. Pretty damn impressive. Can't believe you can actually do that. It must be useful." You replied to him, trying your hardest not to compliment him too much.

"It took a lot of practice. It's a shame though, I have to restrain myself for a lot of these shows. People get upset if you embarrass them too much." He grinned at you, again eyeing Jessica.

"Oh, you were holding back huh? Sounds just like you." You teased.

"As a matter of fact, I did!" Matt remarked back. "I can do much more. Care for a private show?"

You looked at Jessica. You could tell she was interested. You wondered if you were too.
