Ask about the clans

You say, "I'm wondering... since I'm going to be the Hokage soon, wouldn't it be better to learn more about the clans in Konoha?"

"Didn't you learn this at the academy?" Tsunade ask.

"I forgot."

"Shizune, give him a run down,"

Shizune explains to you that a clan is a family or group of shinobi that shares a common trait, be it a blood relations and genetics, or in looser forms, common techniques though the latter is not very common in the Fire Country.

"Blood relations and genetics?"

"Many clans shares a bloodline limits, such as Uchiha and Hyuuga. However, there are clans that don't have bloodline limits but have special techniques, such as Yamanaka and Aburame; due to secrecy, we honestly are not sure whether both clan techniques can be used by others or are actual bloodline limits,"

"That makes sense."

"This may be early for you but when you marry someone from other clans, you have to consider the politics behind it. For example, while there's not a rule against polyamory, the clan dynamics may prevent it from happening. Take Hinata for example."

"Hinata?"

Shizune blinks her eyes. "You don't" she coughs., "... Anyway, when... let's say you date her. For everyone's sake, don't have premarital sex with her no matter what. The momentary satisfaction will never justify the impending loss of lives. Second, when... that is hypothetically you marry Hinata or another heiress. You have to consider whether you want to marry into her clan or her marrying you. Whichever works, as long as her father agrees. But, no matter what, don't ever take a mistress or concubine. Again, Konoha can survive your **** by your angry wife but not a clan uprising"

"Wow. I feel loved."

Shizune is gobsmacked. "Wha... what are you saying?"

"I just want to know whether the rules applies to you as well."

"No," Tsunade says quickly. "And let's put a stop to that," she continues to Shizune's relief. "Anything else?"
