Ask Some Questions

"First off, how did you gain an empire squire?" Takeshi asked Garnon.

"Well you see your client was taking housing master for a time and this is their thanks. Unforunately, it seems this will be a one and done." Garnon answered.

"Who is her master?" Takeshi asked.

"I can't say." Garnon answered quickly. "So, my question then: how is Sir Ryuga fairing? I heard you trained under him. How is the old champ doing for himself? Well I hope." Garnon asked.

"Ah! That... How do I put this? Master Ryuga has been dead for nearly a decade. Died of terminal cancer." Takeshi explained.

Garnon instinctively rcoiled and nearly gasped in pain. "Agh! I'm sorry to drag up some bad memories." Garnon apologized.

"No need. It was nine years ago, I am better now. Got over it." Takeshi explained. "Anyway, how did you get the Vale kid get on board this mission?" Takeshi asked.

"Apparently the elf has been doing missions for a while now, as you saw, and when he heard we were looking for bodyguards he voluntered. As simple as that really." Garnon explained still awkward over earlier.

"Ah! It seems it is." Takeshi reply.

"Next question for me huh? Well, I heard there was another student of Ryuga. Where is he?" Garnon asked.

"Oh! You must be talking about Simon... How do I begin?" Takeshi asked himself.

"A long story I take it?" Garnon summarized.

"Yeah, best get comfy." Takeshi told him. "Let us see..."
