Ask Ashley to try to open it

"That's probably just some storage closet," Ashley says, turning around.

"No wait, try to open it with your key."

Ashley shrugs and walks back over. You are surprised when her key slides into the lock, and the door opens. You both peer inside, surprised that the door seems to open up into a low, narrow hallway that slopes downwards. Ashley turns and raises an eyebrow, "Want to check it out?"

"Definitely," you say, ducking your head and entering the mysterious hallway. Ashley follows closely behind. You and Ashley shuffle along for a few minutes and just as you are starting to wonder if the hallway leads anywhere, you spot a doorway at the end.

As you reach it, you notice that the door is cracked open and you peek inside.

"What do you see," Ashley whispers over your shoulder.

"Seems like just another lab, I don't think anyone's inside, let's check it out," you say, pushing the door open slowly.

You both walk inside and the room is indeed unoccupied. You spot a glass container off to the side, with a large red "Warning" label. You walk over and look at the single red pill inside. There is also a laptop still open next to it, with a Word document still open.

You begin to read: "Today I received a red pill-shaped object from a geologist friend in Europe. He says that he found the pill while excavating a prehistoric fossil site and that he has never seen anything like it. I agreed to subject it to a number of chemical tests to determine what is its composition. Under a simple microscope, this pill appears to be made of a material I have never seen before. I will have to conduct further testing tomorrow."
