Ask Alya

Taking a moment to compose herself, Samus met Alya's gaze.

"Alya, would you mind if I ask you some questions?" the bounty hunter inquired, Alaya now seated opposite of her. Smile on full display, it put the bounty hunter at ease. A feeling that was no doubt felt by the AI as well.

"Go on ahead." Alya answered, only for Samus to compose herself. This was perhaps her best opportunity to get something resembling clear answers. Or at least, the best answers the Alya had to offer.

"Do you know who developed the Hijab Upgrade? It's unlike any other upgrade I've ever seen and/or used." Samus explained, only to watch Alya's posture shift. Had she asked the wrong question here? No, she probably was taking a moment to look up and confirm her answer.

"It was a female scientist, but the actual details have been erased from my memory banks." Alya answered and caught a raised eyebrow in return. Looking away from Samus, she muttered something under her breath. "My apologies, I assume you were hoping for a proper answer, Samirah?"

Samus shook her head. Hearing Alya call her by that particular name brought with it all manner of emotions. Mostly good, but some bad.

Perhaps she just needed another day before making a decision like that.

"No, I was just curious. That's all." Samus remarked and composed herself. While it was a start, it was clear to the bounty hunter that she would need to try another avenue in order to find answers.

Perhaps something had been left in the holy book - a clue to its original owner. At the same time, there was bound to be even more places that she hadn't visited in the station. Annoyingly, she only had time for one.
