Ashley leaves out the detail that it was her only choice [Expanded with more details]

Ashley pondered how she would tell her story, Theodore had told her that it would be best that everyone believed that she had chosen to become his **** of her own free will and not to evade enslavement by another who could have had a legitimate claim. That way, he explained, they had a defence in the event of a suit because they were acting in good faith when she signed herself over to him as her owner. Ashley didn't understand why that would matter but Theodore had pressed on the importance of it and he wouldn't be so steadfast about it if it wasn't. The only ones that know the full story are my parents and it has to stay that way. It felt exceedingly more shameful to have everyone believe that she had willingly agreed to become Theodore's ****, yet it had to be this way. The last thing Ashley wanted was to end up as Bruce's **** in the end anyway, not after all she had already been through to avoid it. In her head Ashley set up a road map for her tale, choosing only to omit something from it and not add details to keep it as close to the truth as possible, that way it would be easier to remember and stay consistent should she need to re-tell it and she figured she would need to re-tell it at some point. But stories before my enslavement shouldn't matter, so I can make this section a little longer. It will make my story more reliable. And I don’t need to worry about not speaking consistently next time.

"Well, there really isn't that much to it. Theodore has sort of always been there for me, and we have known each other for a long time," Ashley began, a soft smile touching her lips as she thought back to the years they had spent side by side, almost forgetting the humiliation she experienced these days. "We grew up together—practically from the moment we could walk, we were causing trouble, making memories, and just… always together."

She paused for a moment, glancing at the girls before continuing. "I remember how we used to spend entire summers exploring our town. There wasn’t a single road, park, or old abandoned building we didn’t turn into our playground. We used to sneak into the bakery early in the morning just to breathe in the smell of fresh bread, and sometimes, if we were lucky, the old baker would give us some free pieces. And the woods—oh, the woods were our kingdom. We built forts out of fallen branches and pretended we were exploring virgin lands. Once, we even made a bet to see who could climb the highest tree. I won, obviously, but Theo insisted that his tree was harder to climb." She chuckled, shaking her head. Recalling these things made Ashley almost far away from the cruel reality. She almost forgot that she and the four girls were property and slaves. It was as if she had become a little girl discussing her best friend with other friends.

"And when we weren’t outside, we were focused on computer screens. We spent hours playing games together, battling monsters, building entire worlds, and, honestly, arguing over who was carrying who in co-op mode. He was very smart, always better than me at strategy games, but I had him beat in action ones. We sometimes stayed up way too late, way past when we were supposed to be asleep, whispering over headsets and trying not to wake our parents."

The four girls opened their mouths in surprise. This seemed like a normal childhood. They didn't understand what this had to do with Ashley's enslavement, or why Ashley was talking so much about it. But Ashley was completely immersed in her memories.

She smirked, mischief glinting in her eyes. "Speaking of parents… we were absolute menaces when it came to pranks. I mean, harmless stuff, but enough to give them a headache. Swapping the sugar and salt, replacing TV remotes with fake ones, convincing his mom that the house was haunted by flickering the lights at night—oh, and there was the time we put a large broken glass sticker on a window of my house. My mom was really scared."

The girls looked at each other, but no one interrupted Ashley. Her expression softened as she continued. "But, you know, even when things weren’t all fun and games, we always had each other. There weren’t many hardships in our lives—we were lucky in that way—but on the days when things felt heavy, we were there for each other. When I had a bad fight with my parents, when Theo lost his old dog..." When talking about Theodore's old dog, Ashley suddenly remembered the first day she became his ****, when he led her out of the house by the old dog's collar and leash. She suddenly returned to this cold reality and realized that she and Theo would never be able to return to the relationship they once had. The smile on her face froze, and she just continued to speak, quickly ending the topic. "we were with each other in the tough times."

"And," Ashley could hardly bear returning to reality, but she had to continue. "The night before my eighteenth birthday I thought about what it would be like to be someone's **** and we ended up talking about it at length. In the end, it just made sense to have someone like Theo who cared for me to claim ownership of me. That same night we prepared the paperwork for voluntary enslavement and by early morning on my birthday I had legally signed myself over to him as my owner." Ashley finished, feeling exhausted, embarrassed and a little excited from telling the group her revised recalling of the events leading up to her enslavement.

"You were not **** to be a ****?" Tatiana asked skeptically, crossing her arms she leaned back in her chair and shook her head.

"No," Ashley answered. Not by him.

"Puta," Anna whispered under her breath, covering her mouth hoping nobody heard what she didn't mean to say aloud.

Put what? Ashley wondered, not hearing exactly what it was Anna had said, being too curious about the other girls now to linger on what it was that Anna might have said she let it go.

"Anyways, that's my story. I know it's not very remarkable or thrilling, but everything can't be." Ashley felt the tension that had built up from having to tell someone how she became a **** and leave her body. "Now that I have shared mine I want to hear one of yours."
