Ashley Smeets

I am a new reporter at the local Fox affiliate, 23 and just out of college. After a few weekends covering the weather forecast showed I could string sentences together on camera, the boss decided to put me outside for community reports. Now, the problem is, I'm a little blonde girl from a small town in Michigan, but now I work in the city, where most of the people (or at least where they send me) are black. So is alot of the crew. And everybody seems to have alot of fun at my expense at how 'uptight' and even 'racist' I am. So, who wants me to go black? The list is long: neighbors, coworkers, acquaintances, just plain fans I've met or who've just seen me on TV.
