As she's told

Kara groaned as Adalyns impatient eyes explored her body. She hated to admit it, but she was stuck. So, she did what she was told.

She slowly sauntered back over to the water, her feet slightly shifting in the warm sand with each step she took. Finally, she reached the water. Sticking a toe in, she immediately yanked it out. This water was nowhere near as pleasant as it was a few days ago, no, now it was frigid cold. Before Kara could process that information, a shove from behind sent her flying forward, landing face first in the freezing cold water.

Kara sat up in the ankle deep water shivering like mad. She could hardly stop her own teeth clattering as the cold moved through her body. Her nipples immediately sharpened, and her legs trembled. Adalyn laughed heartily as she took a seat on the sand. "Go on girl, wash up!"

Kara spent the next several minutes adjusting to the cold temperature. It never got comfortable, only somewhat bearable. She shivered as her shaking hands rubbed her bare torso up and down, the grime and sludge slowly melting off her body. Alone with her thoughts, she suddenly realized she hadn't heard from her jailer recently. Looking over, she saw Adalyn, fast asleep on the hot sand.

A devilish idea came to her mind. If she could sneak past, she could get to the car, drive back to Adalyns house, and get her belongings back. If they were even there, that is. Then again, she wondered, surely Adalyn would've thought of this. This must be a trick. But she couldn't just pass up this opportunity, right?
