Ari has fun

Soon after, Ari noticed her friends and ran straight to them so she wouldn’t be alone here. Lost in animated conversation and laughter with her girlfriends, Ari barely noticed the empty glasses piling up beside her lounger. The alcohol buzzed pleasantly through her veins, loosening her inhibitions and amplifying the warmth of the sun on her skin. Time seemed to slip away as she gossiped and giggled, the worries of earlier fading into insignificance.

It wasn't until one of her friends mentioned needing to use the restroom that Ari glanced around, realizing the pool area had thinned out considerably. Panic began to creep in as she checked her phone - over three hours had passed since Tyler had led Joe away. Had they really been discussing guy stuff all this time?

Ari stumbled slightly as she stood, the world tilting momentarily. She needed to find Joe, to make sure everything was okay.
