April finds an artifact (You’re free to make your own item)

Gold Springs sunny rays, shinned down on the town. Everyone having their own objective or needs to be done. Texas was busy with papers, Roxxie was sleeping in her hideout, the twins were having a feast, Georgia was at the saloon as usual. But wait-we’re missing one, yes?

Who could we be missing exactly?

“Aaand there! Phew, all boxes stored and ready Ms. Hana!” April announced as she placed a final moving box into the large wagon. “But are ya sure ya wanting to leave? You’re um..kinda the few people with the biggest heart I’ve ever seen.”

Ms. Hana, a dwarf rabbit chuckled as she adjusted her dress. “Well, thats mighty kind of you to say deputy. But unfortunately…you know how it is.” She had a saddened look. “Ever since prices gone up, ah’ just can’t afford to live here anymore. Apologies..but I’ll be moving to the big city from here on out. Ah’ wish you luck in your work Ms. Briggs!”

April smiled as she was glad things could end on good terms. But out of the corner of her eyes, April spotted something. A small box. “Oop! Hol’ it, Ms. Hana! I think you forgot one.”

“Did I? What is it?” Hana pondered as April lifted the small box, and shook it, hearing clattering.

“Looks like a box with trinkets. Any idea?” April wondered.

“Ah, yes. Must’ve been my grandfathers. Not sure what it was actually, never bothered to look.”

“Welp, might aswell throw it with the others.” April suggested as she approached the wagon.

“Yes well, I suppose that-oh! Oh dear me-is it already near noon?! Sorry dearie, but I must go, I’ll miss my train!” Hana quickly the rest of her stuff, and hopped onto the wagon seat as she snapped the reigns, and the horses were off!

COUGH, COUGH “M-Ms. Hana wait! Your forgot your box!” April called out.

“Keep it dearie! Consider it a farewell!” And like that, she’s off.

“B-but I-! I…I..hmm. Well..guess it can’t be helped.” April examined the box and shook it. “Hmmm, wonder what it is.”

April whistled to her horse, cinnamon, as they both rode back to the office

They finally managed to arrive, as April hooked Cinnamon to the stable. “Don’t worry girl, I’ll be back, and I’ll make sure to buy ya a candied apple, would that be nice?” April asked, as she received a lick and nudge from her horse. “Ahaha, ok ok girl. Just stay here, ok?”April, grabbed the small box, and entered the office. “Sherifffff! I’m back! Ms. Hana already left for town.”

Texas was in back, covered in papers as she brushed them all off. Yawning as she stayed up late to do papers…again. “Thats…,” YAWN “great April. Glad I can count on you.”

SIGH “Tex, you been working late again? Come on boss…it ain’t due till next month!”

“Well, you know how Vivian like to make us-hey what’s that?” Texas cut herself off, as she noticed the box in her deputies hands.

“Oh, this? This was a gift from Ms. Hana. I’m..not actually sure what it is. She said it was from her grandfather.” April explained as she placed the box on desk.

“Hmmm, any idea what it could be?” Texas pondered.

“No idea, but hey. It’s a gift for us right? Soo, come on. Let’s check it!” April suggested excitedly as she began to open the box.

Texas stood by, prepared for anything. She knows she has to ‘take it easy’ for her deputy, but still, even if Hana was a kind soul.
