Ships of unknown origin and geometry appeared in the blue skies all over the nations in the world as 'dropships' separated from their parent vessels and disembark soldiers which appeared to be of Cetalaphod Morphology with all of them possessing 6 to 10 tendrils and communicating through an ear-piercing noise that disrupted radio communications altogether and caused buzzing of the ears that lasted for half a minute.

Donned with no armor whatsoever that we humans were familiar with nor understood as bullets were quickly absorbed; Their weaponry seemed to be a cannon that shot some sort of yellow incinerating hardlight beam that applied **** to its unfortunate victim, be it our modern military vehicles across the globe to our humble kin, all were pushed back while the affected surface was seared during the process.
