Apology time

Lauren whipped around and saw the Dean behind her.

"Mrs. Adkins." The Dean said seriously. "Come with me."

Nervously, though she was grateful to be extracted from her embarrassing encounter with Charlotte, Lauren followed the Dean. He led her to his office, then picked up the microphone from his desk and flipped it on.

"Attention students." He said.

Lauren could hear his voice loudly amplified through the whole school.

"I am here with Lauren Adkins. Many of you saw Miss Adkins jump onstage at yesterday's pep rally. Lauren proceeded to violate this school's code of ethics and flash the school in revealing lingere. Miss Adkins has something she'd like to say."

The dean extended the microphone towards her. Reluctantly, Lauren took it and held it up to her quivering lip.

"I... I want to apologize." Lauren said, quivering with shame.

She looked up at the dean, who looked back at her expectantly. So she went on.

"I.. behaved inappropriately." Lauren said. "And I sorry to everyone who saw me... who saw... my body..."

Lauren shaking with shame, handed the microphone back to the dean.

"As part of her punishment in now going to assist both the football team and cheerleading squad as a water girl." The dean explained. "This will make up her debt to teams for their disrupted pep rally. Thank you."

The dean switched off the microphone.
