"Sorry," you say, hands raised defensively. "She didn't see where she was going."

"Yeah, fine," the man says, moving away and leaving you and Caoimhe alone.

"Well, that went badly," you say.

"Yeah, it did, I guess," Caoimhe says. "He was being kind of a jerk, though. I didn't mean to do anything wrong."

"Come on, let's get a drink and forget about it," you offer.

"I'm fine, actually. I'm pretty tired and drunk. I think I'm going to head to bed, if that's alright."

"Oh," you say, disappointed. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, it's probably for the best," Caoimhe says. "It was a fun night while it lasted."
