Chapter 16 by Flamesofdarkness

What or who interrupts this fluff?

Apollo confesses

In the midst of the newly formed throuple's time with one another, though, a voice called into the cave. "Rachel? Okay, so, I want you to–" Apollo's voice cut short when he strode into the cave like he owned the place, seeing the three of them with mussed hair. "No. Rachel, tell me you didn't?"

Annabeth gave a quick glance to Percy. Did Apollo remember that Rachel's oath applied to Percy as well, unlike their fellow demigods? "Lord Apollo?" Annabeth asked.

"Nah, you're cool," Apollo waved off. "No, Rachel, this is a total violation of the bro code! Or, uh, sis code I guess, if I'm going with a female form. But the point is, you made a move on Percy before I could? Very uncool." Apollo held up a finger for a moment.

"Apollo betrayed

By his heartless Oracle

The sis code broken."

"Anyways, Percy, Percy, uh–" Apollo snapped his fingers, and too fast for them to see, he was no longer a he, but rather a she.

All three of them blinked a few times at Apollo's new look, but she (?) seemed most interested in watching Percy's reaction. "Better?" she asked him.

"Apollo, listen–" Percy started, but Apollo interrupted.

"I'm guessing Annabeth told you about my... feelings for you," She started. "But I think you'll be impressed to hear that I've decided to try and commit to being monogamous with you, and you can keep dating Annabeth, and Rachel too, I guess." At the mention of Rachel, Apollo looked slightly put out. "Anyways, clearly you don't have a problem with dating multiple people– and, I mean, look at me." She gestured up and down her body, as if inviting them to ogle her.

"Okay, I'm very–"

"And," Apollo continued, as if Percy hadn't spoken up, "I have it on record that I'm a great lover. Less references for this form, I suppose, but the blowjobs and intercrural should carry over." She shrugged. "So?"

"Apollo, I'm sorry," Percy said, sounding like he was being cautious in what he was saying. "But while I really appreciate your confession, I don't know if I'm interested in a relationship with a god. I think our life experiences are too different, and so I think I'm going to have to turn you down," he finished quickly.

Apollo frowned, and her face looked almost like it was pouting. "Are you sure?"

Percy nodded.

"Fine," she said morosely. "IM me if you change your mind, alright? And Rachel, we're going to have words about you dating Percy without asking me first." With that, Apollo's form brightened, and the three of them were **** to close their eyes to avoid being incinerated. When they opened them, Apollo was gone.

"Holy shit, that was awkward," Annabeth said, having avoided speaking while Apollo was present. "I almost feel bad for him, he was a lot more serious than a lot of other people this morning."

"He'll get over it," Rachel reassured her. "He's been into someone almost this bad a few months back, when you were missing, Percy, and he got over it in a few weeks."

Percy looked relieved. "Oh, good. I mean, he's one of the nicer gods, you know? I'd feel bad if I made him really miserable."

"You're too nice sometimes, you know," Annabeth commented. "You're lucky you have me."

"I am lucky I have you," Percy agreed, smiling. "And you too, Rachel."

Soon enough though, evening approached. Both Percy and Annabeth had been confessed to a few more times, though Percy moreso. Now, however, the three of them were back in Cabin 3, preparing to summon Inara. With a simple rub, of the lamp, she appeared to Annabeth, and despite Percy and Rachel both trying to focus, neither could see her.

"Hmm. So, the three of you are together, now?" she began, her voice sultry despite the simple words she spoke.

Annabeth nodded. "Yeah, we're all dating. So, what do we need to do to get our 'punishment' or whatever, Inara?" she asked, trying to sound firm. She'd determined she wouldn't get sidetracked this time.

"So quick, so fast to get down to business. No time for foreplay?" Inara teased, bringing herself around to whisper the last word in Annabeth's ear.

"No," Annabeth responded, trying to keep herself looking straight forward, instead of letting her gaze stray to the side where Inara's breasts just barely avoided touching her arm. "So?"

"Fine, fine. Anyways, as a good faith thing, I'll make the first 'punishment' me being able to make myself visible to anyone you're in a relationship with. And for me to do that, you just need to tell me that you won't be making a wish before midnight."

Annabeth quickly relayed the information to Rachel and Percy. They'd expected something somewhat like this.

"Okay, I'm doing it. But if you screw us over..." Annabeth trailed off.

"Then the deal is off, and I get to have less fun. Are you going to say it, or can I go back to taking a nap?"

"Fine. Inara, I hereby declare that I will not be making a wish before midnight tonight."

"Aww, how cute. Hereby, that's a bit archaic. But I'll take it. So..."

The world echoed, and once again, Annabeth fell to her knees, but this time, it felt far lesser.

"Did it work?" she asked.

"It did," Inara said, looking down at her with a grin. "In fact," she said, floating closer to Percy, and bringing a finger to his chest. "Hello, handsome."

"Gah!" Percy exclaimed, jumping backwards and slicing Riptide through Inara. Inara, of course, was unaffected.

"Now, now, is that any way to greet a lady? Though I suppose I wouldn't mind getting acquainted with your other sword," Inara teased.

"So you're Inara," Percy said with a frown.

"Yeah," Annabeth groaned. "And now she's going to head out, right?" she said pointedly.

Suddenly, Rachel broke into the conversation. "Huh. It's like I can actively feel something off about you. Fate feels... different, somehow."

"Hey, if you want to feel me up, feel free," Inara said with a grin.

Annabeth furrowed her brow. "You weren't acting quite– this is how it's a punishment, isn't it?"

"You're a clever one, aren't you. Yup, your punishment is that I'm going to be flirting with the people you're dating, and there's nothing you can do to stop me. Don't worry, I won't keep it up forever, but it's got to be at least a bit of a punishment, you know!"

"Does it really?" Annabeth asked, suspecting she already knew the answer.

"Nah, but it's more fun this way. Anyways," she said, turning back to Percy and Rachel. "You two, let me know if you want to hit me up for a threesome at some point. I'll pop back in when it annoys her most." And with those parting words, she vanished.

"So..." Percy began.

"Is she always that... hyper?" Rachel asked curiously. "It doesn't quite sound like how you described her."

"No, this was different," Annabeth agreed. "I'm not totally sure, but at least now we know what details to ask for if we let her do another punishment."

"You think it's worth it?" Rachel asked.

"I mean, I do. But Percy, you were the one she was touching. Worth it, or no?"

"We can decide case-by-case, yeah?" Percy asked. "As long as this is temporary, and you think it's worth it, I'll go along. Rachel?"

"You found the lamp, I'll go with your judgement," the redhead shrugged.

"Okay," Annabeth nodded. "Then we'll put up with it."

How does the situation change in the morning?
