"I just happened to be in the neighborhood," said Anya, "and I happened to drop by -- Wait! Why are you here, Buffy? More importantly, why are there two of you?"

"I noticed you didn't ask why one of us was naked," said Buffy. "That means you know why and you can finally help me break the curse."

"Well, I'd like to do that," said Anya, "but unfortunately I can't."

"Don't try to bullshit us, Anya," said Amy. "Buffy has told me all about the various tricks you played on her and Willow when she first came down with the curse. Now it's your chance to make things right."

"Well, I'd really like to do that, Amy," said Anya, "but unfortunately, in order to break the curse, I'd have to be a justice demon. And unfortunately, I'm no longer such a demon."

"You aren't?" asked Willow. "What happened?"

"I lost my powers," said Anya. "Some irate client destroyed my magic necklace and saw to it that I was no longer a justice demon."

"Great Goddess!" said Amy. "Does that mean you're now human?"

Anya smiled and revealed two overlarge canine teeth that looked suspiciously like fangs. "Not exactly," she said.
