Another monster.

Max winced as she fell flat on her ass. She looked up in horror as she saw the thing she had bumped into. It was another one of the creatures she had trapped in the cell. She sat perfectly still as it made a bellowing groan and twirled around to see what had bumped into it.

Max dared not to move as its beady eyes stared directly at her. It looked like it was breathing heavily its long tongue hanging from his mouth. Drool dripping from it splashing against Max's leg. Max scrunched her face up in disgust as the beast leaned in closer to her. She figured it couldn't even see her, relying on other senses to get around in the dark of Manticore's basement.

It moved even closer, its long tongue dropping dangerously close to her stomach. Max held her breath praying that it wouldn't see her. She flinched as its tongue dropped down lightly rubbing against her stomach. Its beak like mouth quickly turning into a snarl making a strange growling sound. It might not have seen her, but it could definitely taste her.

Max quickly scrambled away from the creature and to her feet only to feel its slimy tongue wrap around her ankle bringing her crashing back down the the dusty floor.

"Fuck me," Max muttered as she began struggling, landing repeated kicks to the head of the creature to no effect. Using its tongue like a third arm it tightened its grip around her leg as it dragged her deeper into Manticore's basement.
