Another Victim

Time: 0401, March 12th, 2154

Location: Colonial Housing, Lucy's Lament Colony LV-1412

Julie didn't like the rumor coupled with disappearances and strange happenings in the night. She had seen what had happened to Luther and Jennifer first hand, and she only knew Luther's fate for sure. Jennifer's not so much. She worried about her friend, and lamented the loss of Luther, and stayed up all night fueled by a combination of fear and anxiety and stress. She really wished they had never set foot inside that ship, had never tried to explore it.

She wasn't the only person up all night. There were other's too. She had heard that something had taken Amber Holloway in the night, and Andy and the security team were out in full for several trying to keep things under control. The Colonial leadership was of no help either.

They had zero direction.

Quarantines and Colony safety protocols weren't exactly Julie's thing, but she had been around long enough to know that there was something weird going on. It was too quiet, especially considering what was going on, and the colonists had been left to their own devices.

She struggled to get comfortable in her bed. She supposed she couldn't ridicule leadership too much; after all, here she was in nothing but a skimpy t-shirt and some barely-existant panties laying in bed alone.

The first hint she had that something as up was when air stopped pumping into her room. She sat up and turned the light on. Her sleepy, stressed mind thought, at first, that perhaps the power had gone out... Though she berated herself when she realized that wasn't the case after she had turned the lights on.

The vent popped open after that and one of the aliens emerged. She screamed...
