Another First Ones Ruin/ What Happened To the Stars

Towering among the trees was a crystalline structure covered in ivy and foliage. Both futuristic yet ancient. "I think I’ve seen a place like this before," Adora murmured, turning and taking in her surroundings. "This is a First Ones ruin, isn’t it?"

"And the best place to pick fresh berries!" Razz called out, hanging halfway up the structure with her basket. She climbed higher like a nimble spider without any caution.

"Hey, be careful up there! That thing's not safe!" Adora's warning fell on deaf ears as the crone kept climbing. Panels lit up in Razz's wake but she only stopped her ascent when she was a few feet from a branch with berries. It was then that she got zapped by a panel and plummeted to the ground. If Adora hadn't jumped in and caught her, Razz would've splattered like the berries she was after. Adora was able to land without dropping Razz but she couldn't stop the fart from squeaking out of her.

"Oh ho ho! Dearie me! That was quite a toot, eh?

Adora was about to chastise the elder when she noticed the entire structure was glowing turquoise. Whatever Razz did activated a peculiar light show and a projection that turned the sky pink. Spinning lines of light slowed down and took Adora's mind off of her gas for the time being as they took the shape of individual dots. Triggering a reaction out of her. "Stars..."

"Oh, we used to come here to look at the stars. Do you remember, Mara?" Razz reminisced, her mood suddenly turning sad. "They’re all gone now. What happened to the stars?"

Adora had seen them before once in her life but she wasn't sure why. As she wracked her head for answers, she remembered glimpses of the visions she saw yesterday. Of a purple, pudgy, stoic woman. Of a swirling vortex out in a lush field. And then, an window showing the splendor of space, a blue planet, and the distant stars speckling the sky while a baby giggled. Without any context, Adora couldn't make heads or tails of these memories. It didn't help that Razz was just watching her struggle while snacking on berries. "What is this? What's happening to me?" She grabbed the elderly woman by her shoulders and told her, "Look, I know you brought me here for a reason. If you know something about the sword, about me, you need to tell me!"

Razz stared at her and her mood flipped back to naive optimism. "I brought you here to pick berries, and your basket’s still empty. So, come on, silly." She took Adora's arm and called her broom into her hand. "If you want those pies, you have to pull your weight."

Adora wasn't sure if that was Razz's attempt at a pun or not but she was nearing her wit's end. Razz dragged her away from the site and back into the forest. **** for answers, Adora followed and minimized her butt burps as best she could. If Razz wasn't going to give her answers, the least she could do was make her a pie.
