Chapter 76 by Marcus Dark Marcus Dark

What Happens Next?

Another Day At Work Is Ready To Start

"Mmm Something Smells Good!," Lenna purred, sniffing the air.

"Took you long enough to notice. They should still be warm.," As Aaron reached into the bag he was cradling in his arm the other receptionists turned to look his way.

The other three Receptionists gathered around Lenna with their hands extended toward Aaron. Aaron just smiled and headed each one of The Blueberry Muffins he'd picked up earlier. Lenna and her fellow Receptionists eagerly took the offered pastries and each let out a soft moan as they bit into the fresh muffins.

"Good?," Aaron asked.

Lenna nodded her head rapidly, her eyes wide and shining like a child who had just been offered a mound of candy without having to do anything while the other three looked like they might orgasm at any moment.

Aaron chuckled as he watched The Lobby Receptionists utterly devour their Muffins. It was so cute how they became embarrassed and blushed bright red once they had finished their muffin.

"Is the machine working?," Aaron asked Lenna, Already suspecting the answer.

"Are you kiddin'?," Lenna remarked with a snort.

"I'll see what I can do."

"Please. I haven't had a cup since this morning.," Lenna pleaded, The other Receptionists gathered around all making puppy dog eyes at him.

"Alright, Alright...," Aaron said, holding up a hand., "Just no waterworks, please. I'll have a look... Again.," Aaron sighed in resignation.

Approaching the machine., "Alright my Nemesis. We meet again.," Aaron laughed as he removed his jacket and began taking it apart with practiced hands.

This wasn't anything new for Aaron. He had to do it so regularly that he kept a tool kit in the cabinet under the machine. By now it took him less than two minutes to disassemble the overly cantankerous machine.

"Ha New Record.," Aaron declared triumphantly as he clicked the stop button on his watch.

"Now all I have to do is find the problem and fix it."

It didn't take Aaron long to find the problem and less time to put the expensive machine back together.

"I Really Wish They Would Replace This Stubborn Machine But It Doesn't Seem Like Much of A Priority. Maybe If I Mention It To Ms. Sinclair Again She'll Let Me Buy A New One Myself. Though On Second Thought She Didn't Seem To Take That Suggestion Too Well The Last Time I Mentioned It.," Aaron thought.

"Here you are Ladies, 4 Cups of Bulletproof Coffee...," Aaron said proudly as he handed the first cup to The Woman closest to him., "... None of that Synthetic Swill they serve in the break room. It's made from unsalted grass-fed butter with an extract of coconut oil to improves energy."

The Receptionists were happily drinking their coffee as Aaron turned back toward the machine., "I'm gonna French press some coffee, too." The Women all began to talk excitedly.

"Here try this...," Aaron said as he handed a small cup of coffee to one of the other Receptionists.

The Receptionist, A tall Blonde with a modest chest and generous backside gently blew the steam away from the coffee before taking a small sip.

"Mmmm This Is Really Good!," The Receptionist said very excitedly.

"Guatemalan highlands. Craft roasted. Very robust.," Aaron said absentmindedly as he made another small cup of coffee which he handed to the same Receptionist.

About a minute after taking a sip she smiled and said., "There's, like, a richness to it. It's almost buttery. "

"That's the oil from the plant.," Aaron replied.

"Here, Now try this one."

"Mmm. Am I tasting Chocolate?"

"It's Ethiopian Mocha.," Aaron smiled.

"Mm-hmm. That's Amazing."

"The Baristas here in The Union typically brew with South American Arabica Beans, But there are different varieties from all around The World. What most people fail to understand is that Good Coffee is just as Diverse as Wine.," Aaron said as he busied himself making another batch of Coffee.

"Wow, Aaron I didn't know you were such a connoisseur when it comes to Coffee.," Lenna commented, taking another sip of her Coffee.

"I'm not really. I don't even drink Coffee normally..."

"Then how come you know so much about Coffee then?," One of the other Receptionists asked.

"I guess by this point all of you are at least partially aware of my circumstances..."

The Women looked away, embarrassed.

"Hey I'm not trying to make things awkward but once I was able to eat or drink things on my own I began trying and sampling all kinds of things. While this morning at home was the first time I was actually able to eat or drink anything of substance I've made it a point to try things and learn about them and while I may not like Coffee I can appreciate it's flavor and many subtleties. It's something I can share with other people."

"Wow, There's more to you than I thought.," One of The Receptionists admitted.

"There's always more to everything than we first think...," Aaron said as he handed one of The Receptionists a cup., "... Try this. Same bean, processed differently."

"Really? Mmm. This Is Really Good!"

Aaron turned back to The Expensive Coffee Machine as he spoke., "The point is that none of us know how long we really have... Genetic Testing gives us an idea of how long we will live and Sure Genetic Engineering has allowed us to live longer, healthier lives but just because we can live longer doesn't mean we will. According to all of The Doctors I've seen I should already be dead but here I am so I'd like to experience as many things as I can while I have time... Coffee just being one example."

The expressions on the lovely faces of all The Receptionists were slightly downcast but Aaron was smiling as he turned to face them once again., "Alright, I have time to give you one more treat and I really need to head downstairs. You want to drink this one slowly or you'll shoot through the roof like a rocket."

"Is That?," One of The Receptionists started to ask.

"Yes, It's Ristretto, a Very Strong, Concentrated Espresso, That's the reason for the much smaller cup. It's Extracted from the same bean as before but with half the water."

Taking Aaron's warning to heart each of the four Receptionists slowly sipped The Expresso before exclaiming in unison., "JESUS!"

"It's got quite a kick right?... And It's Lighter and Sweeter too.," Aaron's grin widened as he watched each of the four Women fidget.

"Wow, You need to teach me how to make this stuff. The next time My Boyfriend comes over for a nightcap I'll give him a cup of this and he'll go all night long.," Allison, The youngest of The Four Receptionists immediately blushed and turned away, realizing she had voiced her thoughts out loud, Not just in front of her Co-Workers who were bound to give her hell from now until doomsday but in front of Aaron as well.

"I Guess I Can't Avoid It Any Longer, Man I Hate This Part.," Aaron thought.

"Well Girls I guess I'd better get going... Alot of things to get done today...," Aaron said stepping past The Receptionists before turning and giving a small bow., "... Please enjoy The Coffee and... "

The Women fanned themselves with their hands.

"... Please let me know if you have any other problems with The Machine."
