Annoyed and hot at Shady Belle

Despite it now being the evening with the sun well on it's way down there was still an unpleasant humidity in the air.

Unfortunately for Sadie Adler she had come to realise that this was just how it was in Lemoyne County. Unbearably hot in the day and only slightly more bearable at night.

As she had moved further south with the Van der Linde gang the weather had gotten hotter and hotter. Right now the gang was holed up in an old decrepit manor house called Shady Belle.

Shady Belle, being located on the outskirts of a swamp, meant that not only was it horribly humid, it was also damp and muddy all the time.

Personally, Sadie would have taken the bitter winter of the Grizzlies anyday over the muggy heat of Lemoyne, but at the moment she had ****.

Worse still she had no way to cool down. At least in the old camp which had been set up next to a lake she coule give herself a quick splash down when she got too hot. Here however the water was filthy and filled with alligators, so unless she wanted to risk losing a leg, she was stuck.

Or at least she had been until today. While sipping her moving coffee Sadie had overheard Arthur and Javier talking about fishing. Arthur mentioned the creek where the two had travelled to back when they were at the old camp. He said it was close to a place called Eris Field.

She didn't know Lemoyne County well but Sadie was sure she had ridden past that place at least once when she had taken on an errand for the gang. To her knowledge it was in Scarlett Meadows, north of the town of Rhodes.

And from the sound of it the place would be quiet and secluded.

With the heat only barely dropping despite the time Sadie decided to go take a look. Grabbing a Repeater Carbine, she took one of the spare horses the gang had “aquired” recently.

She would only be gone a few hours and Sadie hoped when returned she would be cooled down and perhaps even a little more relaxed.

Heading out of camp northwards, for the first time all day Sadie smiled.
