Annie's real training begins

It's 4 AM, and Annie is still sleeping when Sue enters her room

Sue: Let the fun begin

Sue uses her telekinesis to lift Annie from her bed and hover all the way in the air before letting go and making her fall on the floor

Annie: AH FUCK, WHAT THE HELL

She looks up and sees Sue

Annie: Sue?

Sue: Congratulations, you were able to convince Aiden to let you stay

Annie: I made a deal with the director

Sue: I know. You need to be ready in a month, and you will not complain. The training won't stop until either Gwen or I tell you, unless you just told that to Aiden so you can stay here

Annie: I gave my word; I will not fail

Sue: Good, meet me in the training room in 5 minutes

Annie looks at the clock

Annie: Why so early

Sue: Evil doesn't sleep

Sue walks away

Annie: You can do this Annie. This is all for Hughie, it's just a month

Annie arrives in the training room

Sue: Just on time. Did you eat already

Annie: No, I didn't have the time

Sue: Good, you would have puked it out anyway

Annie: So what do I need to do

Sue: I want you to hit me with a light blast

Annie: Just that

Sue: Just that, but first close your eyes until I say you can open them

Annie: Okay

Annie closes her eyes as Sue uses her power to become invisible

Sue: You can open them

Annie: Wait, where are you

Sue: In this room. Now use your powers to hit me

Annie hears Sue's voice behind her and fires a lightblast in that direction

Sue: Not even close

Annie keeps firing lightblasts where she thinks Sue is but misses by a lot every time.

Sue: Is this the best you can do? Maybe you just aren't cut out for this life

Sue kicks Annie against the wall

Annie: FUCK

Sue: You can't save everyone like this. No wonder you failed to protect Hughie

Annie: SHUT UP

She fires more light blasts in a fit of rage, but these too miss

Sue: I guess you can only defeat those that can't fight back, like that civilian you killed

Annie: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

All the lights in the training room start to flicker before going out as Annie absorbs them all along with all the electricity. She starts to float in the air before unleashing it in a fit of rage in every direction

Sue becomes visible again and creates a forcefield around her, keeping her safe from the blast

Annie falls to her knees in exhaustion after unleashing all that power

Sue: Not bad, but not good enough

Annie looks up and sees Sue standing in front of her

Annie: What are you talking about? I hit you

Sue: You hid my forcefield not me, so you didn't pass the test

Gwen comes running into the room

Gwen: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? THE ENTIRE BUILDING SHAKED, IT WAS LIKE A BOMB WENT OFF

Sue: Just a training session beween me and Annie

Annie: And I failed, I couldn't get past her force field

Gwen: You do know that her force field is pretty much indestructible

Annie: What

Sue: She's right, so here's your homework: I want you to come up with a way to get around it, because you will face villains who won't go down with a single blast or like me can dodge or protect themselves from it

Annie: Very well, how long do I have

Sue: Until tomorrow

Gwen: Sue, did you notice the room

Sue takes a look around and sees cracks in the wall

Sue: I'll be damned, you actually managed to destroy parts of the room. I guess there's hope for you after all

Gwen: Go eat soemthing Annie, i'll continue your hand to hand training in an hour

Annie: Alright, and Sue

Sue: yeah

Annie: Don't ever say that about Hughie again

Sue: I needed you to be in the right headspace, and my words did exactly that

Annie: I will get a hit on you tomorrow

Sue: I can't wait to see waht your up against

Annie walks out of the training room

Sue: And was it stronger than the blast she used to kill that woman

Gwen watched the entire training session through the one-way window connecting the training room with another room

Gwen: By a lot, though that was to be expected, the electricity and light running through this room is far greater than a couple of street lights

Sue: So the more she absorbs, the stronger the blasts, just as we thought

Gwen: Just think how a strong her blast could be if she absorbed all the electricity and lights of the entire city

Sue starts to smile

Sue: master will be pleased. Now it's your turn, don't go easy on her
