Anna Hears The Commotion

Anna returned to her room and waited for a few short minutes before breaking into a wide smile as Eric stepped through the door, "There you are," She warmly said as she skipped over to the teen, planting a long deep kiss on his lips, "What kept you?"

"I talked with, Ken," Eric replied as he wrapped his arms around Anna, resting them on the small of her back, "I'm not sure what's going on between him and Zoey, and I don't really want to know, but I told him a few things,"

"Like?" Anna asked with a tilt of her head,

"I told him that I didn't want to see Zoey hurt and that I knew what they did the other night," Anna's eyes turned a bit concerned, "No, don't worry, I told Kenny that now, it was none of my business, but I let him know if Zoey let him take her virginity like that...she obviously had some feelings for him,"

"Yeah," Anna nodded in agreement, "I hope that's true if Zoey could be happy with Ken, then maybe what we did wouldn't be seen as such a bad thing,"

"Hey, it's-" Eric began to agree only for the pair to freeze as the muffled shouts of both Kenny and Nicole filled their ears, "Holy shit...what's going on down there?" Eric whispered out before the pair flinched as the sound of a Nicole slamming the door ended the screaming match,

"That was Nicole," Anna said under her breath as she pulled out of Eric's embrace, "Give me a second, I need to check on her, that sounded bad,"

"Yeah, of course, I'll be here when you get back. Take your time," Eric nodded back as he watched the blonde girl quickly rush out of her and run down the stairs to the first floor.

Anna instantly began to search the bottom floor for her friend, looking into room after room, for the redhead to no avail. After a few minutes, she ended up at the rec-room and quietly opened the door spotting Kenny still standing at the pool table, leaning against it with his head lowered, "Kenny?" Anna's soft voice called out causing the teen to jump from the sudden noise, "Where's Nicole?"

"I don't know, and I don't care..." Kenny muttered back causing the blonde's brow to furrow,

"What'd you say to her? What happened?" Anna frowned as she walked into the room,

"I told her I didn't want to have sex with her," Kenny replied as he spun back to face Anna, his brow furrowed as well, "She dumped me today after fucking JJ and Rachel then tried to jump me after dinner. So excuse me if I hurt your friend's feelings, but I'm done entertaining Nicole's antics!" He exclaimed, his eyes flaring up for a moment that caused Anna to take a small step back and gulp. "I...I'm sorry, Anna," Kenny sighed while lifting his hands and rubbing his face, "I didn't mean to shout at you,"

"What happened, Kenny?" Anna asked, her tone now understanding instead of blaming,

"Exactly what I said, Nicole told me she was done with me today but pulled me into the hall closet, trying to have sex with me. When I told her no, that I didn't want to do anything with her anymore, she flipped and stormed out," Kenny explained as he wandered towards the couch and plopped down,

Anna watched the teen for a moment then nodded, turning around to leave and find her friend, yet after only a single step she stopped. Anna let out a long exhale and looked over to Kenny, "If she was done with you, why would she try and jump you after dinner?"

"Because, in her words, she only wanted to make sure that we'd never go past screwing around, but she never intended to stop having sex with me," Kenny dryly stated with a small shake of his head, "Everything has been so screwed between us..."

"Because you two had sex with other people?" Anna asked while easily making her way to the other end of the couch, taking a seat on the armrest, "Nikki told me you've been...getting at her because you had sex with a lot of other girls,"

Kenny let out a profound sigh, "It's not...I know I'm in the wrong here, but the way things happened, it wasn't like I intended it to go down this way." Kenny stated with a look of sincerity, "Everything was going fine when Nicole and I started...doing what we were doing. Then that night of the party, Mindy and I got too drunk and we ended up..." Anna's eyes slightly widened in surprise, not thinking Kenny was going to admit to all this, "It was a mistake, I didn't know what I was doing, and Mindy wasn't thinking straight either. But, Nikki, she found out about it that same night and decided to get even by fucking Brian, then throwing it in my face the next morning, telling me that I meant nothing to her anyway,"

"She said that?" Anna lowly asked the teen who merely nodded back, "Oh, Kenny, I'm sorry,"

"Thanks, but don't...after we had that fight, I was fucking stupid. I acted out, and this time it was my fault, I can't blame this on anything but me." Kenny firmly stated, "I was so pissed off by what Nicole said to me that I went to the bathroom to cool off, you know splash some water on my face and chill." Anna nodded understandingly, "But Rachel was there, and I guess she thought the best was to help me was convince me to fuck her...which I did," Kenny muttered, "I don't know why I did it, but I did. I wasn't doing it to hurt Nicole, but I know it must have hurt her in the end."

Anna lifted her leg laying it over the other, "That's...I won't lie, I'm a little surprised in you, Ken. I thought you were better than that, more clear-headed and moral,"

"I know, I know, which is why I wanted to stop messing around and get serious with things. I was taking the trip outside alone to clear my head, think things through and see if I could work things out with Nicole or if I should move on. But then the storm hit, I found Zoey, and when we took shelter in a cave she told me all about you and Eric," Kenny explained causing Anna to shift and lower her head,

"Yeah...I'm not exactly a saint either," Anna mumbled back,

"Hey, that's none of my business, but I told tried to comfort her, and eventually we kissed...then it escalated from there. It felt good to...wanted by a girl who was looking at me more than a fuck toy for once. We both agreed to think about things, and when we got back to the lodge, Nicole apologized and we sorta...got together again. I thought maybe we'd be good from there, but once I took Zoey home to get her stuff, Nicole talked to Rachel." Kenny frowned,

"Talked to Rachel? I don't understand," Anna murmured back,

"Rachel convinced Nicole that we weren't a good match, then they proceeded to screw around with each other before having a full-on threesome with JJ, "Anna's cheeks turned a deep shade of red while Kenny's upper lip twitched in irritation, "Then when I got back, she immediately walked over and told me we were done. Now I'm the bad guy for not screwing the girl who fucking dumped me?" Kenny asked with a near bewildered expression,

"No, Kenny," Anna replied with no hesitation, "I...I didn't know all of that when I came in here, Nicole only gave me bits and pieces, which I should have assumed wasn't the full story. I'm sorry for how I sounded..." Anna sincerely apologized, "And no, you're not the bad guy. I know Nicole, she's like my sister, and she's nice, eccentric and carefree, but I know she can be an immature child with a chip on her shoulder," The blonde smirked causing Kenny to weakly laugh with her, "Were both of you in the wrong earlier? Yes, you know you were," Kenny nodded, "But were you in the wrong just now? No...No I don't think so,"

"I just..." Kenny started to say before pausing and shutting his eyes, "I wanted something real, and it's like I'm paying the price for it. I've been with every other girl here Anna, and what do I have to show for it? The closest I've come is with Zoey, I think," He shrugged, "But even that's up in the air, she told me she wanted to think about things and since then...she's been nice but...distant,"

"Well, you can't **** that stuff, Kenny," Anna easily replied, "When it happens, it happens," Anna continued, "I went so long without anyone because I wanted the same thing, and then I meant Eric. He's not perfect, but neither am I. We've both done some questionable things to be together again, and that does bother me a little." Anna admitted, "But, the point is, we care about each other, and that wasn't something that just randomly happened. We became friends, grew closer and knew that we both wanted to take it further. Having sex and then enter a loving relationship won't just happen, Kenny, you've got to really connect,"

"I feel like I did, but now I just don't know," Kenny shrugged back, "And I feel like a scumbag for being alone but having done stuff with all these other girls,"

"Well, if the story you just told me is true...it seems like the other's all approached you," Anna pointed out,

"Kai didn't, she was just trying to help calm me down by talking, but that was...we both let that happen," Kenny slightly corrected,

"Okay, well, same thing. You didn't seek all these girls out; you weren't hopping around for the hell of it, and...um...Ken, I'll just say it, you have a personality that is warm and welcoming. People can trust you, want something more from you. Mindy clearly wanted that, Rachel took some sort of pity, Nicole wasn't with a guy like you before and must have found a draw, Kailyn was trying to help, and Zoey needed someone like you for comfort. I'm not saying these girls were all using you as a means to an end and now they're done with you. All I'm saying is...don't completely beat yourself up and feel like shit, because you're not a bad person."

Kenny looked over at his friend and softly smiled at her, "Thanks Anna, I...it means a lot that you'd say that even though you're Nicole's best friend,"

"I'm not a mindless sheep who's only going to back my friend up, thinking all guys are scumbags," Anna giggled, "And you're my friend too," She added while reaching out and placing her hand on his knee. The pair held a gaze for a short minute before Anna smiled and stood up, "Alright, well, now I have to find Nicole and see if I can get her to have a sincere talk too, wish me luck,"

"Good luck," Kenny smirked back, "And Anna?" Anna paused as she reached the door, "Seriously, thank you,"

"Of course, I know you'd do the same for me if I were ever in a situation like yours," Anna sweetly replied before opening the door and leaving the room.
