Andrew bluffs

In the end, his friend’s welfare mattered more than his own, and if he had to be ‘Andrea’ to get Brian out of his slump, then so be it. Remembering his locked phone, Andrew quickly thought up a ruse.

“Ooh no, I think you like, misunderstood sorry! Andrew did send me, cuz’ he said you could fix my phone!” Andrea elaborated, trying to modulate his voice like a girl, the end result sounding similar to some kind of high-pitched Disney princess. Alongside the “like” and casual manner of speech, Andrea sounded like a stereotypical girly-girl.

“Ah… Sorry about that, I thought Andrew was trying something again” replied Brian, his face red with embarrassment. “Yeah that’s something I suppose I can help with… So where is Andrew anyway?”.

Andrew quickly thought of a generic-enough response, hoping Brian wouldn’t follow up. “He errr… left in a big rush! Said something about being late for an appointment”.

Brian sighed. “And ditched me? It sure sounds like Andrew. He’s probably off with a girl”.

Brian’s comment stung; Andrew was only too aware of his past breaking of the creed ‘bros before hoes’. Offering a pout and sympathetic gaze, Andrea retorted “Oh, I’m so sorry! Well let me make it up to you; how ‘bout I treat you to lunch? You could call it payment for fixing my phone!”. Andrew batted his eyelashes for extra effect.

Brian raised an eyebrow in consideration. “Well…”.
