He had moved out west to become a star. He knew he had what it took. He was sure of himself. Studios were tripping over themselves to sign LGBTQ+ talent these days to increase diversity. He was sure the phone would be ringing like crazy.

Breaking up with his boyfriend Billy and leaving his beachtown home did make him sad, but this was what he wanted in life.

He scrimped and saved and found a super cheep apartment in North Hollywood. He had enough to last him a few months until he found some gigs.

He went to audition for every single thing he could.

But no one called him back.
