And the the set

The car stops and for a few minutes nothing happens. You try to look out but all of the windows are completely blocked by the paint on the outside… you have no idea where exactly the car drove you and your phone had no service to check your location either.

Suddenly the door opens and the bright sunlight streams inside of the car, dazzling you for a second before you see a glamorous house in front of you. A huge mansion painted in white with large windows and a pool on the side. Your guide quickly leads you inside of the houses not giving you a lot of time to look around. When you enter the mansion you are greeted by a huge array of cameras pointed at an improvised tv set. Seemingly this game show would take place inside of the mansion the entire time, with all the contestants living in the same house just like in a reality tv show.

„The other contestants are already in their rooms. You’ll be shown yours after a short introduction by the gamemaster“ your guide says to you, asking you to take place on one of the benches in front of the cameras. After a few minutes a bunch of different people come into the room, all wearing casual clothing and looking just as confused as you. You count 12 in total deducting that those must be the other contestants. A short while later another person enters, wearing a bright pink suit and positioning himself right in the middle of the two benches filled with contestants. You hear a few people shout and a countdown and suddenly everything went dead silent except for the host.

„Ladies and gentlemen, dear contestants, welcome to GAMBLE YOUR GENDER! The only gameshow where the players play for much more than just money… instead gambling their very own bodies!“

You take a confused look around, everyone else seemed to be completely calm and collected- are you the only one that didn’t know what this shows was about? How on earth could you gamble your own gender? A million questions shoot through your mind, but you’ll have to figure this out later as the Host was already starting to speak again…

„Now- for everyone that didn’t pay attention during the application process, I will explain the rules to our little game one final time! The twelve of you will be competing for the cash prize facing some pretty difficult challenges… and the last man standing wins! Over the course of the next few weeks your fellow contestants will vote for three of you to get a punishment which will heavily impact the way they look and act- but that’s all you have to know for now about that- after receiving a punishment the three punished ones will compete against the three people with the lest amount of votes- if the punished ones win their vote for the next punishment will count twice, but if they lose the winners can choose to spice up their punishments by adding some of our „modifiers“ which will make them even worse! A candidate is disqualified as soon as they fail their weekly cognitive exam to see if they are still mentally fit enough to put up good competition- if not they may stay in the mansion and… please… the other contestants but they won’t be able to play anymore.“
