Chapter 102 by DangerSloth

What happens next?

An upcoming Ball

Later that day. We found ourselves in Charms class, with Professor Flitwick, and he had just revealed something huge to us all.

"Dress robes will be worn," said Professor Flitwick, "and you are able to invite someone under their forth year if you want to. I guess."

The Yule Ball was a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament. It was a chance to get everyone of the schools together. On Christmas morning until midnight the festivities would happen.

"Now the Champions, umm such as Mr. Halfhwit, are expected to begin by leading everyone in a dance with their chosen partners. As is tradition! So do begin thinking of who you want to go with everyone." Mr. Flitwick looked at me and Michael charming our school books to jump like frogs.

"Are you a dancer, Mr. Halfhwit," asked Mr. Flitwick. I turned away as my book hopped off the table.

"Mr. Flitwick you're making me blush," I said, "I never dreamed you'd ask." Mr. Flitwick threw his hands up in surrender.

"Oh shut up, er, quiet down Mr. Halfhwit," said Mr. Flitwick, "you are a representative of this school, this house, and as a result me. Make sure you don't do anything dishonorable."

Just the thought of a date for the Ball was making my head spin. There were so many choices. Hermione? Padma? Maybe Angelina Johnson? Or I could even go outside my school and aim for Fleur Delacour! I was a hero now!

When class ended I was too busy speaking with Terry Boot who was filling my head with girls to go after as potential dates. Michael however brought me back to Hogwarts.

"Idius," said Michael, "we have a meeting." Oh right. That was supposed to happen now.

We left the classroom and immediately ran into Padma and Cho waiting for us. Padma looked as angry as ever.

"Come on," said Padma, "we're going to be late. That would make an awful first impression."
