An up and coming star not paying attention

Petros decided to walk the few blocks into Hollywood for lunch. It had been a quiet morning at the shop, so he locked up and wandered into Tinsel Town. He was looking around to find a restaurant that caught his interest. He stopped at an intersection, waiting for the light to turn so he could cross the busy road.

While he was standing there, he heard a loud voice approaching him from behind. Before he could react, Petros found himself tumbling to the ground. He slowly climbed back to his feet as he saw a young woman walking past him, loudly talking on her cell phone. She looked down at the elderly man struggling to regain his feet, sneered and continued on her way.

Rage started building inside of the old gypsy as he watched the thin young woman continue to ignore him. Her caramel skin and long, dark hair catching the sunlight as she continued to shout into her phone.

"Fucking whore."

Petros placed a hand over his mouth, but he knew it was too late. He had just completely changed that young woman's life. But he realized she had shown no concern for his plight, so he decided to just go about his business and let the girl pay her penance.
