Chapter 3 by Skogman Skogman

What's the result of Johnny livestreaming?

An unexpected message

"Hi guys, hope I didn't miss anything!" Johnny chirped as he sat himself back down. He smiled into the camera with innocence, knowing exactly what he had missed and on a mission not to bring it up. Everything that appeared in his chat was a steady stream of 'RIP' which he quickly responded to with, "guys, stop saying RIP. **** isn't funny!"

"Someone is screaming right now," the message scrolled past Johnny's face as he calculated how to best move past this little incident.

"Yeah guys, **** is really serious. I think it's really tragic when it happens to family and friends," Johnny's face turned sullen atop his knowing and flirty expression. "It's important for all of us to talk about what bothers us and to be open about our mental health. It's really bad for you to bottle things up."

Chat, unsurprisingly, agreed with their favorite streamer and soon enough the stream was underway. It went fine, SweetieBabeAnastasia finding consolation in the fact that she got to continue watching him, even though she never got to hear him say her name. The fanbase was addicted to the little attention Johnny gave them and Johnny, for his part, was affected by this setup as well.

"Bye gals, I hope I'll see you again soon," Johnny said as he ended stream. He went back to his regular life, his life that was funded by the army of women who chose to watch him for an extended period of time.

Johnny walked out of his dedicated streaming room into one of the many other rooms that filled his multimillion-dollar mansion. While it had felt great when he bought the expensive house, he had grown tired of it as of late. It was great to have a multitude of friends over, but when he didn't have them sleeping at his house, the vast space could only be described as lonely. Often he found himself settle down into his sofa and peered into the smallest device he owned and cherished for an extensive period of time, his phone.

Dopamine hit after dopamine hit rushed into Johnny's head as he let time pass him by. That was until he saw pictures from one of his old friends. Said friend was posed in a suit with a crawling woman next to him, wearing the tradition marriage collar and leash. The image awakened something within him, there wasn't anything more he could want from a singular woman. He had everything already, both wealth and fame, his followers would all do anything for him. The followers which he ultimately saw himself as so far above. He didn't realize that his lifestyle had already eroded his ability to achieve what he saw, when he saw everyone as a potential follower and thus beneath him. In the end, no woman would be good enough for him if he didn't change his mindset before his thought patterns became crystallized in old age.

Does Johnny break out of his thought pattern?
