An unexpected complication.

Kazuma made it home, and was immediately greeted by Aqua. "We have quite the feast tonight! Speckled red crab!" she said excitedly.

"Crab? That's pretty classy!" Kazuma remarked, and Aqua proceeded to shove some into his mouth. Normally, this would annoy him, but the taste and texture of the meat made letting that particular move slide easy.

"So good," Megumin moaned around a mouthful. "You could bribe me into holding off the urge to use Explosion for it..."

"...okay, seriously impressive," Cremea noted.

"...for a few minutes," Megumin finished after swallowing.

"...you know what, I stand by what I said," Cremea snarked, getting Fio to snort.

"This calls for drinks!" Aqua cheered.

"Actually, I'm expecting a visitor tonight, so I can't get tipsy today," Kazuma waved off. "But thanks anyway."

Aqua shrugged. "More for me!"

'...not even going to ask about the visitor?' Kazuma sweat dropped as he thought that.

That night, Kazuma was in the bath, trying to relax. He figured he should get clean before the succubus they picked to handle his dream came, and he was having trouble sleeping anyway. The door opened, and Darkness stepped in. "...oh, Master!" she beamed, blushing. "Sorry to disturb you! But maybe we could... You know..."

"... that's actually tempting," Kazuma remarked, looking over her naked body. "But like I said, I'm expecting a visitor in just a bit. I was just freshening up."

"Oh yeah... So who is the visitor? You making Wiz a full time harem member?" Darkness asked.

"Not exactly, it's-"

"Intruder!" Aqua's voice rang throughout the mansion. "Get her!!!"

"...shit," Kazuma said, shooting up and wrapping a towel around his waist and running by a pouting Darkness.

...

Sure enough, upon arriving, he found Aqua pinning a rather petite and terrified looking succubus to the floor, Megumin standing by with her staff out. "Aqua, stop!" he shouted.

"Eh!? Kazuma, why are you naked?" Aqua asked, looking back at him as he held the towel around his waist. "Never mind, I found this succubus trying to break in! The spirit barrier I put around the house tipped me off to her!"

'...shit, she put up a spirit barrier, didn't see that coming!' Kazuma cursed. 'Because OF COURSE the one time she decides to do something productive without me practically spoon feeding her ideas how, it bites me in the ass!'

"What's going on here!?" Cremea asked, Fio in tow as they arrived.

"A succubus broke in, and seeing as they attack men, she must have been after Kazuma!" Megumin explained. "We better destroy her before she gets Kazuma under her sway!"

(So, I'm asking again, anyone have any thoughts on whether this succubus should be a permanent harem member? Didn't get any comments the last time I asked, but unless multiple people tell me not to, with no one saying anything to the contrary, I'm going to in fact include her, though I'll have to give her a real name since canon never did.)
