An old friend

I started swiping with high standards, but as I went through guy after guy I was beginning to focus more on what they looked like rather than anything in their profiles. I figured that I'd go out on a date or two before we did anything but seeing some of the shirtless photos and poses were starting to rile me up. But then I came across someone I didn't expect. Someone I definitely didn't think I'd see on here. One of my old friends Michael. It had been a hot minute since Michael and I had caught up. In school, I'd go over to his place to hang out and play video games. We even watched our first porno together. That was back in the old days when they were on tapes and you had to watch them on the VCR and then rewind it so his Dad wouldn't know we watched it. Damn, that makes me feel old. And he'd just got back into town after being away for the past 18 months.

I swipe on his profile and we match instantly. I guess I must have shown up on his as soon as I added my profile. "Hey! Can't believe we matched! Hope we can catch up soon :)" I set my phone down and ordered another coffee when my phone went off. "I'm more than happy to match with a cute gamer girl" Huh, weird way of putting it. Unless... Hahahahah, Michael doesn't realize it's me. I mean I can hardly blame him, and looking back my message wasn't that clear. Oh, this could be fun. "Well, maybe I could come round to your place and play some games?" His response comes quickly. "I'd love that! When are you free?" Wow, this is moving pretty quickly. Let's slow things down. "Not right now. Maybe later?" And I send along a picture of myself doing a little pouty face. I gotta show him I'm sad at not seeing him. He seems disappointed but I switch the topic to what I know are some of his favorite games, messaging back and forth for almost an hour. Even if he doesn't know it's me it's still nice to talk to him again. It's just then that a funny idea popped into my head.

"You've been great to chat with so far. How about I give you a surprise?" The message bubble came up right away. "What kind of surprise?" What kind indeed. See, he doesn't know that I know where he lives. I'm sure he'd love a visit from his new gaming buddy. "Oh, you'll see ;)" I'm sure he'd get quite the shock when the ''cute gamer girl'' shows up on his doorstep. It isn't that far of a drive and I make it in good time and I'm standing at his front door.
