An old favorite

Emily cracks open a beer, "I don't care I just want you to take me for a ride." She proceeds to take a big swig.

Mandy lets out a big laugh, "Emily! I know you think he's cute but I never thought you'd be so forward."

Emily coughs and nearly spits out her beer, "That's not what I meant!"

"Oh so you don't think I'm cute?" I tease her as I pull out of the garage. I rev the engine as I quickly pull onto the street. The growl of the engine causes Emily grip my arm tightly again. "You sure are getting friendly for someone who doesn't think I'm cute." I continue the tease. "Not that I mind a cute young think like you getting friendly." We pull up to a stop sign and I glance at Emily in time to see her blush before it fades from her cheeks.

"Alright you two, try to concentrate on the road for a minute so we can figure out where to go and Dan here can get a chance to stop driving and start drinking with us." Mandy chimes in from the back seat. She is already cracking open her second beer and handing another to Emily.

"I haven't been there in awhile, but I think I know just the place." Driving in the car with these two cute young things makes me recall memories of an earlier time when I used to take Meg to the make-out point of its day. I think the area is still undeveloped and out of the way so I point the car that way and step on the gas.
